Appointments
If you would like to make an appointment, please contact our office at 515-576-5786 or rollinghillsdental@frontier.com. Our office facilitates communications, emergency calls, and appointment scheduling. We use a service called Lighthouse to give our patients the option for appointment reminders via emails or text messages in a variety of time frames—a week in advance, several days, the day before, and even an hour before. New patients seeking help are always welcome!
FINANCIAL
We work with most insurance companies. We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. We offer CareCredit to our patients—a no interest financing option for 12 months.
Insurance benefits, if available, will be estimated and any deductibles or remaining balances will be due at time of visit.
Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, Visa, or MasterCard.
PATIENT FORMS
To save time during your first visit, please fill out our patient forms prior to arrival.
CANCELLATION
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice. We ask for this advanced notice so we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee may be charged if a patient does not provide sufficient notice or show up for an appointment.
Sensitive teeth are often caused by a receding gum line. Gum recession exposes the underlying dentin layer and nerve to water, food, and debris. To manage and treat sensitive teeth, there are special kinds of toothpaste, gels, and dental procedures that can be applied.
Periodontal disease is a chronic condition that needs immediate attention. Through a series of deep cleanings this condition can be controlled. Periodontal surgery is only necessary for severe cases.
Teeth whitening is a cost-effective and safe procedure that creates a beautiful, healthy, and whiter smile.
The whitening process can last for a number of years if maintained properly. Beverages such as coffee, tea, cola, and wine will reduce the lasting results. Routine exams and hygienic cleanings can prolong results.
Veneers are thin pieces of ceramic that fit directly over teeth and change their size, shape, and color. Veneers can repair fractured teeth, restore darkened teeth, and correct misaligned smiles. It is a conservative approach to cover the front side of the tooth to obtain esthetic goals. The entire procedure can take as few as two visits.
Dental implants are titanium posts that replace missing teeth. After a few months, dental implants fuse to the jawbone. This creates an anchor for a dental crown or bridge.
Most people are appropriate candidates for dental implants, with some exceptions for those who suffer from chronic illness, heart disease, and severe osteoporosis.
You can soak your aligners in cleaning tablets, but it is also important to regularly brush them. You should also avoid eating while wearing aligners. This can cause them to tear or break. You may only drink water while wearing your aligners. Avoid consuming hot beverages, chewing gum, and drinking coffee, cola, and red wine.
Good oral hygiene is the key to great overall health. Daily brushing and flossing are the best ways to take care of your teeth and gums. By sticking to a daily routine, you will greatly minimize the risk of gingivitis or tooth decay as you age.
Periodontal Disease is an infection and inflammation that affects the tissues and bone that support your teeth. When your gums are healthy, your gum tissues tightly hug each of your teeth. When you have gum disease, your gums pull away from you teeth. As the gum disease gets worse, the tissues and bone that support your teeth are damaged.
Warning signs:
- Gums that bleed when brush or floss
- Gums that are red, swollen, puffy tender
- Gums that no longer tightly hug teeth
- Bad breath that doesn’t go away
- Feeling that your teeth are loose
- A change in the way that your teeth fit together when you bite.
Silver amalgam fillings are made from a metal alloy that provides a healthy and strong barrier for a tooth.
Tooth-colored composite fillings are often made of resin material and blend with your natural tooth shade.
Tooth bonding fills gaps, corrects minor chips and fractures, and restores areas of discoloration. Results are immediate, and patients can prolong their results by monitoring their consumption of coffee, tea, cola, and wine.
Dental crowns cover and protect damaged or decaying teeth. They’re also used for cosmetic purposes because they can change the size, shape, and color of the teeth.
Dental implants provide a stable solution for missing teeth. They also:
- Look and function like natural teeth
- Decrease chances of bone loss & tooth movement
- Reduce the need for dental bridges or dentures
Invisalign aligners should be worn 22 hours a day. You should only remove them to eat and clean your teeth. They should be worn at all other times of the day and night. You will likely change aligners every 7-14 days according to your specific needs.
